How we work

Three stages, the same every time.

  1. Audit — What you get: a review of your site, systems and data flows; a written plan in priority order; a fixed quote for the build. Fee credited in full if you go ahead. What the audit covers →
  2. Build — Fixed scope and price. A live project page and a written update every week. Seven build gates, from content to launch, each checked in a real browser.
  3. Care — Monitoring and alerts, updates and security patches, backups you can restore from, a monthly report, and changes on request. Response times are written into the agreement.

Our gates

  2. Copy signed off
  3. Wireframe on real content
  4. Design approved
  5. Build verified in browser
  6. Performance and accessibility pass
  7. Launch with redirects checked

FAQ

Do you work with our existing tools?

Usually, yes. The audit tells you which tools stay and which ones cause problems.

Who owns the site and systems?

You do. Accounts, code and data are in your name.

What happens to the automations if we stop working with you?

They keep running. Every system is handed over with documentation, alerts to your named person, usage limits and a register of every account. Nothing depends on us being around.

What if something breaks?

Under a care plan we're alerted first and fix it within the agreed response time.

Is our customer data safe?

Sensitive data stays where it belongs, and we use local processing wherever we can.

Do you build on WordPress?

Yes, when it's the right fit: WordPress built to pass Core Web Vitals, with no page builder and a small set of plugins. For projects that need more, we build on our own stack. The audit recommends one and explains why.

Can your assistant, Eve, build something like this for us?

Yes. Eve is one of the systems we build: an always-on assistant that answers questions, qualifies enquiries and hands off to a person, with every conversation logged. It's part of the Systems service.

Do you work outside Australia?

Yes. We work across time zones and keep a written record of every decision.
